- Is Vizmatiq free to use?
- Yes. The free plan covers CSV and Excel import, all chart types, dashboards, natural-language queries, correlation analysis, and 20 AI calls per day with the agent. Pro (US$5/month) raises that to 200 AI calls/day and unlocks database connectors, AI Deep Clean, Data Story templates, shareable links, PDF export, and presentation mode.
- Does Vizmatiq upload my data to a server?
- Vizmatiq is browser-first — your CSV, Excel, or database rows are processed locally in your browser with DuckDB WASM. Two optional features are the exceptions: (1) AI features send a sample of rows plus computed statistics to our server and on to our AI provider, Anthropic (you opt in before the first AI call), and (2) clicking Share uploads that dashboard's snapshot so others can view it. Everything else stays on your device, and the app works fully without either feature.
- What file formats can I import?
- CSV, TSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), Google Sheets links, and direct connections to PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, and Snowflake (Pro plan). You can also join multiple files on a common column.
- How is Vizmatiq different from Tableau or Power BI?
- Vizmatiq runs entirely in your browser with no install, no server, and no account required to try it. Upload a CSV and get charts, dashboards, and AI-generated insights in under 10 seconds. It targets individual analysts and small teams who don't want Tableau's US$70/user/month price tag or Power BI's Microsoft account requirement.
- Can I share dashboards with people who don't have an account?
- Yes. Pro users can generate a public share link that renders the dashboard for anyone with the URL — no signup needed to view. You can also embed the dashboard in an iframe on your own site.
- What AI features does Vizmatiq include?
- Auto-Mode profiles your dataset on import and suggests charts, KPIs, and a narrative. Data Story generates a PDF report across executive, deep-dive, trend, and comparison templates. Natural-language query lets you ask questions like "which region drove the most revenue in Q3?" and get an instant answer.
- How large a dataset can I load?
- Up to roughly 2 million rows work smoothly in the browser, depending on your device's memory. For larger datasets, connect a live database (Pro plan) and Vizmatiq will push aggregation down to the database instead of loading everything into memory.
