Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Vizmatiq is a browser-based data analytics platform. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

2. Your Data

You own all data you upload to Vizmatiq. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. Data processing happens locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers unless you sign in (which syncs your dashboards and current dataset to your account), share a dashboard, or use an AI feature (which sends what that feature needs to our AI provider, Anthropic), as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Local Data Processing

All data transformations, visualisations, and analyses are performed client-side in your browser. Your dataset is stored in IndexedDB on your own device. Those local records are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, but the key is stored in your browser too, so it does not protect against anyone with access to your device. Your data leaves your device only when you sign in to sync across devices, share a dashboard, or use an AI feature, which sends data to Anthropic. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal activity
  • Abuse, exploit, or reverse-engineer the AI features
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Interfere with the service or its infrastructure

5. Subscriptions, Trial and Cancellation

The Free plan costs nothing. Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually through Stripe at the price shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.

  • Free trial. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required to start it; nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
  • Renewal. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Settings via “Manage subscription”. Pro features stay available until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund partial periods.
  • Price changes. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect; if you do not agree, cancel before the new price applies.
  • Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA and UK consumers). By starting the trial you ask us to provide the service immediately. You keep the statutory 14-day withdrawal right, but if you withdraw after Pro has been used you may be charged for the part of the period already provided, and once a paid period has been fully delivered the right no longer applies.

6. Business Users and Data Processing

If you use Vizmatiq on behalf of a business and upload data about other people, you confirm that you have the right to do so, that you are the controller of that data, and that Vizmatiq acts as your processor under the terms set out in section 12 of the Privacy Policy and in our Data Processing Agreement. Those terms form part of this agreement.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which will remove all associated data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vizmatiq and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in Swedish courts.
